We are native Mainers and were looking for a cozy spot for a couples getaway. Although we’ve lived in Maine for decades, we’ve never visited Stonington and that turns out to be a serious oversight. The Inn on the Harbor is easy to find and as cozy and romantic as it gets. Our room (and it looks like all the rooms) had sweeping views of a classic Maine harbor complete with working lobster boats and stony, pine tree topped islands. The front window was like looking at a giant post card.

Amazing! So clean! Lots of yummy snacks, drinks, and coffee in the common area. So relaxing! Perfect! Our room was so clean and perfect amount of space for 2 people. We stayed in Grace Bailey for 6 nights. Loved sitting on the deck. Never too crowded.

This inn was perfect for our needs. We wanted a small quaint coastal town. The ideal place to stop and relax. The view from our room was perfect. The staff, including Theresa were extremely pleasant and helpful. The location was right across the street from the Harbor Café. We dined there several times. The property thought of everything we needed, including snacks, umbrellas, personal toiletries, I highly would recommend this place to anyone….especially for those with dog friendly needs.
